Ash GrunwaldSoulful Blues man ASH GRUNWALD returns to Cornwall next month to play his only headline show at the Walkabout in Newquay on Thursday 19 March.

Support comes in the shape of local bluesboy Tom Mounsey whose traditional southern state style bottleneck blues has seen him continue to rise on both the local and national scene. Mounsey wears his influences (Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Son House etc) proudly on his sleeve.

Next up is Ben Howard, one of the UK’s emerging acoustic talents who we interviewed in 247 Magazine back in October 08. Brought up in Devon, and now residing in Falmouth, Ben’s been surfing and playing music since he was a kid. Now 21, his vast array of percussive guitar skills and vocals trained on whisky and rollies have been turning heads wherever he plays. With shows throughout the South West, London, and the North East, Ben is fast establishing himself as an artist to be seen. In recent months he’s supported Australian artist Xavier Rudd through Europe and been signed up to surf giant Quiksilver, playing the Quiksilver Pro France in September and set to play the upcoming Quik Sessions series.

ASH GRUNWALD is firmly established as one of Australia’s finest multi award winning live performers and is said to be really excited about returning to Cornwall, a place that he has enjoyed playing many times.

Tickets are £8.00 in advance, £10 on the door and are available from seetickets.com, 0871 2200260 or from the Buzz Bar in Newquay – OVER 18’s only, subject to booking fee.
