This years event organisers are encouraging revellers to park in the Truro City car parks and hop onto the free shuttle bus service which is being supplied by the King Harry Coaches. Three classic coaches will be running all day from 11:30am – 9:30pm with pick up points outside of Truro Bus Station on Lemon Quay, Victoria Square, around to High Cross Multi Story, collecting from The West Briton Office (strictly no parking) on Malpas Road before finishing up at the festival park.

Sergeant Miles Topham from Truro Police Station said, “There will be no parking available around Boscawen Park, Malpas on Sunday 2nd August so we would encourage people to use the shuttle bus service running from the city. Illegal or irresponsible parking will result in tickets being issued and possibly the vehicle being towed away. The police fully support this event and would like everyone to enjoy their day. To ensure the majority have a good experience the Police will be using direction to leave powers for anybody acting in a drunken anti social manner, failure to comply will result in an arrest and a possible criminal record.”

This will be the 7th Free entertainment day of it’s kind which over 2 stages continues to support the fantastic musical talent that lies within Cornwall.

This years event sees the inclusion of the Kernow Live Big Top which shall be continuing at the park on Monday and Tuesday 11am – 5pm and operates during Truro City Councils National Play day on Wednesday 5th Aug 11am – 3pm. There will be on site parking available during these days.

Trudy Swann from Truro City Council said, “Kernow Live is promising to be a fantastic new event with attractions for people of all ages. As organisers of National Playday which is taking place on the final day of the programme, we are really pleased to be working in partnership with Kernow Live to offer a superb range of attractions for families who regularly attend our event. In
addition, the presence of the Big Top will mean that the show will be able to go on this year no matter what the weather!”
