ST IVES SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL LINE-UP ANNOUNCED

THE music line-up has just been released for the 2010 St Ives September Festival (September 11 to 25) and it has its usual eclectic mix of acts and styles.
The St Ives Guildhall sees jazz legend Courtney Pine (11th), 10-piece young folk band The Unthanks (12th), popular Scotish singer/songwriter Eddi Reader(14th), Top Irish band ALTAN (15th), folk supergroup The Imagined Village (17th) and flamenco Star Paco Pena (18th).
Irish/world music group Kila (19th), latest singing sensation Fishermans Friends (20th), top rock singer Imelda May (21st), ace guitarist Robin Trower Band (23rd), ska band The Beat with John Otway (24th) and a last night with Livewire AC/DC and Limehouse Lizzie (25th).
There are also two nights featuring local talent with Mousehole Male Voice Choir (22nd) and the final of the Battle of the Bands contest (13th).
There will be music in several other St Ives pubs and a comprehensive programme of arts and literature events which will be featured in the second festival leaflet.
The music programme is available from St Ives Tourist Information Centre, Street an Pol, St Ives and at Rainyday Gallery, 22 Market Jew Street, Penzance.
