Vampire Weekend, who where planning to make a much-anticipated return to the Eden Sessions to kick off this seasons Sessions on June 24 with special guests Broken Bells have unfortunately cancelled the date due to unforeseen circumsatances. The New York indie quartet, (named after a film made by lead-singer Ezra Koenig), first played at Eden back in 2008 as support for The Raconteurs at what was considered one of the best Eden Sessions to date. Famed for their sunny African- and classically-influenced tunes peppered with literary and historical references, Vampire Weekend released Contra in early 2010, which reached number three in the UK album chart, topped the US chart and has so far spawned the singles Cousins and Giving Up the Gun. Vampire Weekend were also nominated in the Best International Band category at this year’s NME Awards.

The Session was sold out, however all ticket holders are entitled to a full refund, call the Eden box office on 01726 811972 for more details.
