This will come as no surprise to anyone who has ever been to the Green Man Festival in the beautiful Brecon Beacons but it has already sold out this year.
The intimate festival has attracted an ever-growing following of music fans keen to avoid the corporate sponsorship, crap beer and overrated bands which feature at most of the larger festivals.
With bands such as The Flaming Lips, Doves and Beirut joining the likes of Mumford and Sons, Joanna Newsom and Laura Marling its no wonder everyone wants in on the act.
A festival spokesman said: “All the tickets for what promises to be the party of the summer have now been snapped up in record time. Never before in our eight-year history have we sold out so quickly!
“We thought those of you who enjoyed last year’s fantastic Green Man would want to meet up with old friends and come back for more this year… But we are quite literally overwhelmed by the response for Green Man 2010 – we genuinely never expected to sell out THIS quickly!
“For those who missed out this time round, we’re truly sorry… there’s always next year! If you happen to have any spares, we have set up an Ticket exchange forum on our website here.
“A big, big thank you to everyone who has bought tickets – we can’t wait to see you in the beautiful Brecon Beacons in August.”
