REVIEW: MEET MY STREET GOES WILD AT RIDE, PLYMOUTH
No one can stop the rain, but no one was gonna stop the Adidas My street party either! Never have we seen Ride in Plymouth jumping with that atmosphere of who gives a damn than on Thursday July 1st, the chosen date for Ted Thorpe’s winners party for the Adidas’s My Street Video competition.
Things kicked off smoothly with James Theaker putting out with a fair few floor fillers, getting the mood right for the first live act of the night, Daisy Dares You, who preceeded to get everyone swaying with that whole “yeah this is something special” feeling. 1xtras Misterjam then took over playing far too many spot-on “i wanna jump around right now!” tunes than is healthy for any average human being. Not to miss a beat Example made sure anyone who wasn’t already jumping, was bloody well jumping by the end of their set! Impressive stuff. Dj swerve took the torch and ran with it, pumping out a great soundtrack which translated into one of the most lively nights we’ve seen at Ride! Music, good times and even Darth Vader and a trusty stormtrooper throwing some shapes. Great night.
