FAILSAFE AT THE WIG & PEN TRURO, TUESDAY 21 SEPTEMBER

Melodic hooks that get will everyone singing and dancing without control, a live performance reminiscent of any high profile band and certainly worthy of huge crowds. FAILSAFE are punching holes in the UK music scene and making everyone take notice and will be playing intimate show at Truro’s Wig & Pen on Tuesday 21 September with support from Welsh rockers Straight Lines, Severe Zero and As We Sink.

The northwest of the UK has always had a great reputation for producing the best music and this is no exception. Failsafe have a collective sound and direction of the band has always defied one genre and appealed to so many. The band have spent the last few years touring continuously; perfecting songs, their live act and building an extremely solid, devoted and ever-expanding national fan-base. 2009 saw them embark on an extremely successful UK and European tours pulling 300+ crowds on headlining shows and immediately being invited back. Recently Failsafe has shared stages with the likes of Paramore, Set Your Goals, Cute is What We Aim For, A Wilhelm Scream, The Living End, Gallows, Boy Sets Fire, The King Blues, Twin Atlantic and Anti-Flag.

Support on the night comes from Pontypridd rockers Straight Lines who were last seen in Cornwall when they supported Kids In Glass Houses at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth earlier this year, their debut album ‘Persistence In This Game’ is out now via Xtra Mile Recordings. Also performing will be Severe Zerø are a band of utterly inspiring talent, using their seemingly innate musical ability to imbue their music with compelling melodies and addictive rhythms. Their hooks are razor-sharp talons digging into your heart, your mind, whatever part they can. Openers will be As We Sink who fully rocked the Wig just last week when they were called up one hour before show time to support Pulled Apart By Horses after crazy Arm sadlt had to cancel.

Four brilliant bands in one tiny space and it’s all for free, it doesn’t get better than that!
