Dogs Trust, a leading dog charity, needs more blankets donated to its Bridgend centre in order to help keep the homeless pooches warm over the Christmas period.
Charity workers at the animal charity are calling on anyone who is dotty about dogs to open their hearts and their linen cupboards to assist with an urgent appeal. The Rehoming Centre is desperately looking for donations of old, but clean, blankets and quilts to help keep the dogs in their care snug, warm and secure in their kennel.
The Rehoming Centre in Pen-y-Fai, Bridgend recently received a kind donation of blankets from Parc Prison, which has kick started the centre’s appeal for similar donations.
Linda Feagan, Dogs Trust Bridgend Supporter Relations Officer, says: “We would be very grateful if everyone could take a look in their cupboards to see if they have any spare or unwanted clean blankets or quilts as our supplies are running low.To make Christmas a bit special for the dogs we will be wrapping up some of the donations we receive from members of the public, whether it’s toys, blankets or a bone so that they have a festive treat too, so any donations we receive will really help to add a sprinkling of festive fun. It’s also a good excuse to have a clear out before Christmas!”
If you would like to make a donation, please kindly send this to: Dogs Trust Bridgend, Court Colman, Pen-y-Fai, Bridgend, CF31 4NG
