Bristol impressionist and former Britain’s Got Talent favourite Paul Burling has his very own Christmas special TV show being aired on ITV tonight.
Burling, whose impressions of TV comedian Harry Hill and Matt Lucas among others won an army of fans after his appearance in the prime time reality TV show and now he’s been rewarded with his own slot in the festive TV listings.
The show, which starts at 8pm, called “It’s Paul Burling” is being repeated on New Year’s Eve at 6pm.
Burling, 41, has worked the holiday park circuit for more than 25 years but got his big break and broke the impossible judge Simon Cowell in a recent series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Cowell said: “You’ve worked 25 years for this opportunity. The problem with TV at the moment is that it’s snobby. People want fancy French instead of fish and chips. I like fish and chips, you’re fish and chips and you should be in the final.”
Piers Morgan added: “I loved it, you are a natural entertainer, showed us loads more voices, …absolutely great!
So whack on the TV at 8pm tonight and see what all the fuss is about!
