Colston Hall staff are warning people not to buy tickets from re-selling websites as some of them are proving to be fake. Around 50 fake tickets for the Maroon 5 concert at Colston Hall were identified by staff last night and all the tickets had come from re-selling or auction websites. People who had bought fake tickets could not gain access to the concert and were told by staff to contact the seller of the tickets to report them as fake.
Sarah Hodson, Marketing Manager for Colston Hall, said: “We have a series of big concerts coming up and would advise anyone who bought their tickets from a re-selling website and are worried that they could be fake to contact Colston Hall box office on 0117 922 3686 or bring the ticket into the box office. We recommend that people do not buy tickets from ticket re-selling or auction websites and always buy from reputable ticket agents or Colston Hall itself.”
Colston Hall staff are speaking to the police today to discuss the forgeries and are investigating ways to increase the security of tickets.
