Calling all budding musicians, Cornwall’s infamous surfing music festival, Run to the Sun, has announced they are planning to add an ‘Unsigned Stage’ to this year’s May Bank Holiday celebrations. Run to the Sun embraces the best of the UK’s South West culture in a weekend of surf, sun (hopefully!), music and comics and also boasts some of the finest campervans and modified cars in the South. Run to the Sun is celebrating its 25th anniversary as Cornwall’s largest festival, thus the successful bands can help benchmark this achievement for the festival with a 45minute slot alongside the headline DJs: Andy C, Grooverider and Eddie Halliwell. Grab your surfboard in one arm and your guitar in the other and run down to Cornwall’s biggest music festival to play at Cornwall’s biggest music festival of the summer. As well as the main music headlines, there will also be campers and cars to grab your attention, comedians and a silent disco to spend the beginning of the summer in whatever way you want. If you want to be heard whilst helping kick off the summer with your very own music in the air, send your demo to by 31st March to: RttS Unsigned Stage, Trevelgue Holiday park, Porth, Newquay, Cornwall, TR8 4AS. All successful applicants will be shortlisted and notified by 29th April. More info at www.runtothesun.co.uk
