Bristol Simple Things Festival will take over the Old Firestation on the first May bank holiday weekend. Acts confirmed for the one-day festival include Jamie XX, James Yuill (Dj Set), Daedelus (Live), Hexstatic (audio visual show), Astroid Boys and Gonjasufi (Live 6 piece). Festival favourites Chai Wallahs are also bringing that party vibe to the festival with The Correspondents, Babyhead, The Nextmen, Yes Sir Boss, Sheelanagig and more. Other must see acts include The Fauns, Branches and Idles. But it’s not all about the music – Warp Films will be screening some bangers and there will be fun and games from Squeaky Hill & Friends. A very limited number of super early bird tickets are available at Bristol Ticket Shop at £15 each, followed by a second release of tickets at £20 each. Other ticket vendors include Cooshti on Park St, Rise on the Triangle, Idle Hands on Stokes Croft and Start the Bus in Bristol. Cardiff folk can pick them up from the Arts Institute, Catapult Records or Spillers.
