The Monster Ball presents The Mummy Returns at Sandsifter, Gwithian on Saturday, October 27, from 9pm to 5am.

It’s time to rattle the bones and gather your limbs as The Monster Ball rises from the ashes with some fiendishly freaky beats, delivered by seriously spine-tingling acts and DJs. The theme of The Monster Ball this year is The Mummy Returns and there’s a host of hellraising acts ready to put a spell on the dancefloor.

The world’s finest Casio rap duo – and that can only mean Hedluv and Passman – have it all wrapped up with bandage and bondage for a set at The Monster Ball. Back from Edinburgh Fringe where they played to full houses – and a few empty ones – the boys are set to entertain with some freaky dancing of their own. The pyramid stage (no, not the one from Glastonbury), is curated by Top Hat Sound System who present Nic Narley, fresh back from playing for HedKandi in Ibiza. Also excavating the pyramids will be Top Hat residents and DJs Indica, Miss-Tiq and RDT laying down a tougher beat.

Shoring up the musical midnight feasts is Daytoner – aka Moss Cantrill of Disfunc – showcasing tracks from his album Sunburst Radio – described as a retro-ride through Latin American, blues, jazz, swing and Motown rhythms, underpinned by dance floor break beats and linked by valve-age voices. Phil Steed, former resident of The Shirehorse, will be digging out the old school vinyl while DJ Andre of Beatzbreakers will dust off the tunes that made him so popular at The Bosuns Locker. Also confirmed is the Easylife Sound Association, consisting of DJs Steve Roberts, Dean Blackwell and Homegrown Benj. Their musical styles cross many electronic genres including funk, deep house, spaced out disco, Balearic and sunset chill. A new Funktion-1 Sound System – one of only a few in Cornwall – will raise a few a hairs on the back of the neck and a full decor installation will augment the whole Halloween experience.

The Monster Ball takes place on Saturday, October 27, from 9pm to 5am. The ball covers over two indoor dance arenas with an undercover smoking area, with limited overnight camping available on site. Please note that glass bottles are not permitted on site as the area is part of St Gothian Sands Nature Reserve.

Tickets priced at £15 from Sandsifter. More info at www.monsterball.co.uk
