Indie darlings Allo Darlin’ will play the End of the Road Christmas Shindig, which takes place at Cargo in London on December 11, 2012.

The festival favourites who were notably absent from this year’s main event at the Larmer Tree Gardens, on the Wiltshire/Dorset border, have delighted fans by confirming this show. They are joined by the wonderful Joe Gideon & The Shark. There will also be one more act, DJs, hot cider on the patio and Christmas presents.

Allo Darlin’ are many things. They can turn a room in a famous punk venue into a joyous, jumping, sweaty, pop-mosh pit. Or bring a room of 500 to hushed silence with the few strums of a ukulele and a love song about cooking.

Joe Gideon & The Shark: Gideon dreams stories and sings. His sister Viva a.k.a. ‘The Shark’, plonks, stomps and honks. Since forming in 2006, they’ve been invited to play with the likes of; Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Archie Bronson Outfit, The Duke Spirit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Michael Gira to name but a few. They’re former members of Bikini Atoll.
