New nightclub opens in Newquay
The truth is finally out there. Pure launches this coming Friday, May 22nd in Newquay – the event that has got the county of Cornwall counting down the days…
The old Tall Trees venue has, let’s face it, had no real love for the last few years. Now, the Pure Group are giving the place the BIG love! The building is being completely overhauled and renovated – new layout, new Funktion 1 soundsystem throughout, new lights… a new key for the front door. It’s a big job, but the people behind Pure want to start with the right message – offering something new for the people of Newquay and for people coming into the town on holiday. The club will feature clubs within clubs, with the Funktion Room, Soundshaft and Player’s Lounge, as well as a private, VIP club called The Island. Here’s the low-down on the opening weekend:
Friday 22nd May – THE BIG BANG (Free b4 11pm, £5 b4 midnight, £6 after)
Be a part of something special, make history and change Newquay clubbing forever! The Main Room will feature chart and party music, the Soundshaft will have commercial dance, electro and classics and the Funktion Room will host sexy r&b and hip hop.
Saturday 23rd May – 1 BIG SATURDAY NIGHT (free b4 11pm, £8 b4 midnight, £10 after)
Spend the biggest night of the week at the biggest, best and newest nightclub in Newquay. The Main Room has chart and party music, The Soundshaft is the place for commercial dance, house, electro and classics and for sexy r’&b and hip hop, sidle silkily into The Funktion Room.
Sunday 24th May – CREAM CLASSICS (£8 b4 11pm, £10 after, ALL DAY PARTY, 4pm-4am)
The legendary Liverpool club and Ibiza superbrand touches down in Newquay to see how it’s done, Newquay style. The Main Room will be Cream Classics, with DJs Simon Pitt, Ryan R and Lee Ellis. The Funktion Room will host a CGI Records party with Charlie G and in the Soundshaft, Newquay’s very own Stereo Mutants have a Mutated House party.
Last year the owner of Pure opened a club in Ibiza. This year they have turned their attention to Newquay and their message to all credit crunched clubbers is: who needs Ibiza… let Ibiza come to you!
