BIG CHILL COMES TO BRISTOL!
A new bar from the Big Chill team will launch on 1st October, hosting the magic of the fields all year round in one of the UK’s cultural hotspots. The natural home of festivities, Bristol, is in the region of Stonehenge, Glastonbury and the Big Chill festival itself making it a perfect match.
Spearheaded by local promoters Dave Smeaton and James Savage who have been running sterling bars in the area for 20 years, The Big Chill Bristol will be a social hub offering the best in food, drink and music. Dave Smeaton said “The Big Chill’s mix of music, art and great food will be welcomed in a city which has always embraced all of these things in a big way. Now all the many Bristol Big Chillers can get a small piece of the festival every day for free!”
The Big Chill Bristol will be open day and night offering tapas-style easy to share dishes and guest menus from the festivals famous food stalls. Drinks will be well-made classic cocktails alongside more traditional pub offerings of beers and local cider plus a good value and keenly researched wine list.
The Big Chill Bristol will be free entry every day – including New Year and have highly acclaimed DJs from the Bristol scene and the festival spinning sets in the bar every day.
The interior will be designed with the Big Chill vibe in mind, in keeping with the comfy spaces and cool designs that the London Big Chill venues have become famous for (see editors’ notes).
Katrina Larkin, founder of the Big Chill said: “It’s not a new home for Big Chill really, it’s more providing a roof for the many Big Chill artists and chillers from Bristol all year round. Plus it’s a lot closer for us than the London bars after a hard day in our festival fields.”
