Bristol Doors Open Day – now in its sixteenth year – is the day when many of Bristol’s significant contemporary and historic buildings open their doors to the general public, offering a unique chance to see places that are locked up and out of bounds to the general public for the other 364 days a year.
Entry to all buildings is completely free.
All buildings will be open on Saturday 10am-4pm. In addition, all the city museums will be open until 5pm.
For a few buildings you need to pre-book to go round and will be turned away if you haven’t. Others offer regular tours with no pre-booking. Please check the individual entries for details.
With over 40 places open, all participating buildings will have long banners showing you where to enter.
Many of the venues are within walking distance from the centre of the city; all venues outside of the centre show the bus routes that serve them; whilst some of the more distant ones also have a special free bus to them on the day
For any queries, the Tourist Information Centre has a special Doors Open Day line on 0333 321 0101
