LISA MITCHELL ANNOUNCED AS NEWTON FAULKNER SUPPORT
Newton Faulkner, everyone’s favourite guitar-tapping, string-picking singer songwriter returned last month with new album, Rebuilt By Humans, the follow up to the number one record, Handbuilt By Robots. He embarks on a UK tour this month, with most of the dates already sold out (including his date at Truro’s Hall for Cornwall on 26 October).
Joining Newton as his main support on the tour is 19 year old Lisa Mitchell, who was born in England but grew up in Australia. You may have already heard her music – her first single, ‘Neapolitan Dreams,’ recently featured in a Surf washing powder advert. Her music is folky pop with a sugary sweet heart, and her new single, Coin Laundry, is a jaunty, quirky tale set for release on 26 Oct. Find out more about Lisa here.
Lisa will play a few more dates after Newtons tour in the UK with a gig at The Louisiana in Bristol on 13 Nov. Local promoters SW1 Productions are hoping to secure a couple more low key shows for Lisa Mitchell in November, check their site for details.
