Westfest approaching fast
‘Sold out in 2006, 2006, 2007 and 2008, and now back for 2009, Westfest – the event that many consider to be the ultimate all-night dance festival – is set to return to the Royal Bath & West Showground at the end of October.
Westfest attracts around 10,000 young people from right across the UK to converge on the West Country and has become a fixture in the UK events calendar. The clubbers come to see over 70 artists including Andy C, Darren Styles, Lisa Lashes, Gammer, Mark EG, Alex Kidd, Proteus and Joey Riot to name just a few performing across 6 music arenas from 7pm right through until 6am.
Westfest draws the top underground brands in the country together to create an event that is bigger than the sum of its parts. Slammin’ Vinyl run the Main Stage – a mixed genre arena that alternates between Hardcore, Drum & Bass and Hard Dance on the night. One Nation host the Drum & Bass arena as only they can, Hardcore Heaven hold the Official Hardcore Awards 2009 while Frantic and Andy Whitby’s AWSUM brand do battle in the Hard Dance arena. The Welsh nutters behind the unstoppable Bionic brand take care of the Hardstyle and last but not least, United Dance deal with the Old Skool.
Organisers Slammin’ Vinyl said, ‘We are very much looking forward to what we see as our showpiece event of the year. We’re working hard to make sure that Westfest is as good as it can possibly be – we don’t skimp on anything from the DJ line up to the LED screens and lasers to the sound production – we only use the best.’
Tickets are currently on sale from www.slamminvinyl.com or from 020 8363 5566.’
