CALLING ALL STUDENTS: E4 JOINS THE EXETER PICTUREHOUSE TO LAUNCH FREE STUDENT CINEMA CLUB
Set up in partnership with E4 and the Exeter Picturehouse, Slackers Club offers members the chance to attend special free screenings every month – brand new E4 shows, classic movies or a sneaky peak at a film yet to be released. The first event is on Thursday 29 October at 1pm, with a preview of Ang Lee’s highly anticipated TAKING WOODSTOCK. As if that wasn’t enough, there will also be a free bottle of beer for every Slackers Club member who attends. What’s even better free membership is open to absolutely anyone with a student card and won’t cost them a penny!
Cinema manager Andy Botterill said, “We are really excited to be working with E4 to bring new and exciting content to the student market. We are particularly excited that the content for the Slackers Club screenings will be free to members and what better way to kick off the club than with a sneak preview of our Picturehouse Recommends title, TAKING WOODSTOCK!”
The Exeter Picturehouse is also offering all freshers a Free Student Cinema Membership valid for a year. Cinema Membership includes a free cinema ticket, free bottle of beer and a £2 discount on all tickets for 12 months. This offer is only available to first year students who register at the cinema before 27 November.
Cinema manager Andy Botterill explained, “We think our cinema has something really special to offer students. We also recognise that students generally have a limited budget to work with, which is why we are inviting all first years to try us out for free. Cinema members enjoy a wide range of film and events at a reduced price. New first year student members will enjoy a free ticket to the film of their choice and a free beer. They will then benefit from the discounted tickets for their entire first year.”
