ALIVE MUSIC STUDIOS – BATTLE OF THE BANDS UNSIGNED COMPETITION
Alive Music Studios (based at Trenant Industrial Estate, Wadebridge) is currently holding a Battle of the Bands competition in conjunction with The Bridge on Wool in Wadebridge. The competition is in full swing, after being launched at the end of October. So far, four heat winners have been announced (Mouth, Dedhed, Shellin Snails and Seven Day Weekend), and with eight heats yet to take place before the semi finals begin in March 2010, there’s still plenty of room for lots of unsigned talent to show the crowds their stuff with bands like Ellipsis, Distortion UK and Lioness lined up to perform! First prize in the competition is £500 and a free week long recording package at Alive Music Studios worth more than £2000, which will include a final cut EP and possible record deal under their label, ALIVE MUSIC RECORDS. Second prize is 12 months of free rehearsal sessions so this competition is a fantastic way for the studio to support and promote talented musicians from the South West.
