Animated Exeter will take place from 11 – 20 Feb 2010 in venues across Exeter for it’s eleventh year! A celebration of animation from international and local filmmakers, the festival includes screenings, workshops, awards and exhibitions. Don’t miss the Best of the West Competition screening on 12 Feb at Exeter Phoenix, where you can watch short films from talented animation students from the region. Comic fans will love the Exeter International Comic Expo at Southgate Hotel on 13 Feb, and the launch of the festival, which takes place at Exeter Castle, will involve a huge animated projection by US artist Rose Bond, using animation and theatrical lighting to transform the castle windows into a stage (7pm – 12pm, £free).
