SW BREAKSPOLL WINNERS
The South West was well represented in the winners list for the Breakspoll 2010 awards, held at London’s leading club, Fabric on Thurs 25 Feb. Exeter based DJ’s Ben and Lex, residents at Beatz and Bobz walked away with the ‘Best Podcast’ award. Bristol’s Bass Kitchen scooped the ‘Best Small Club night’ award for their regular nights throughout Bristol and the surrounding area. Rich Balboa was awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ in one of the most well deserved wins of the night. Finally, electronic music festival, The Glade, which involves a large number of SW based artists and crew walked away with the ‘Best Large Event’ award, which was collected by Biff on behalf of the Glade team. Other winners included Krafty Kutz being crowned ‘Best DJ’ and Jay Cunning receiving the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award. The event attracted over 210,000 votes during the four week voting period, and over 1,500 people attended the awards party at Fabric which saw an awesome headline set from Krafty Kutz and A-Skills going head to head which had the whole club jumping.
