EDEN SESSIONS 2010: Calvin Harris and Audio Bullys announced

Electropop star Calvin Harris and dance heroes Audio Bullys are the latest acts announced for this summer’s Eden Sessions at the Eden Project. The two acts will take to the stage amongst the iconic biomes on Saturday 3 July. Calvin Harris has gone from making beats in his bedroom to playing some of the biggest festivals in the UK and topping the charts – he’s also recently announced plans to launch his own record label. He’ll be joined by Audio Bullys (aka Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale) who first came to prominence with their album Generation (2005) which featured their Nancy Sinatra-sampling track Shot You Down, which hit number 3 in the UK singles chart. Tickets for this Eden Session went on sale to Inside Track members this morning at 9am, and go on general release at 6pm on Tuesday 16 March, priced at £35 (+BF).

The Eden Sessions are famed for bring massive music acts down to Cornwall, and Calvin and the Bullys join a line up that includes Jack Johnson (26 June – sold out), Mika (27 June) and Doves and Mumford & Sons (2 July). Massage and alternative therapies will also be showcased around Eden on the day of each Session.

The 2010 Sessions will be the ninth season of summer gigs at the Eden Project. Performers in previous years include Oasis, Kasabian, Florence and the Machine, Vampire Weekend, Paul Weller, Hot Chip, Muse, Editors, Snow Patrol, Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, Moby, PJ Harvey and The Verve.
