MANNY MANIA HITS PLYMOUTH
After two highly successful years Red Bull Manny Mania is back and will be coming to Prime Skatepark in Plymouth on Sat 15 May 2010. The competition, which has gone global for 2010, has been rolled out to 32 countries. Now, all the best amateur manual tricksters on the planet will battle it out in an attempt to be crowned 2010 champ.
Red Bull Manny Mania has always been about connecting skaters and encouraging the highest level of technical trickery on two wheels. Skaters in the 32 countries will battle it out in local competitions to earn their spot at their National Final in their home country. The winners of these national finals will be sent to the United States on an all expenses paid trip, to represent their country at the Red Bull Manny Mania World Final for amateurs in New York City on August 21, 2010. The one amateur skater who defeats every other in the global field will get their chance to step into the big leagues – a spot in the invite-only Red Bull Manny Mania Pro Event, on Sunday, August 22.
First of four UK qualifier’s hit Plymouth on Sat 15 May at Prime Skatepark, 21a Commerical Rd, Plymouth. Before going to Glasgow, Manchester and London. It’s free entry for all skaters and the Comp format goes something like this:
• Jam session (4 skaters on the course at the same time during 7 minutes heats)
• Start list will be created in random order
• Judging based on overall impression of the landed manual tricks
• Overall top 8 scores go to semi-finals (Skaters do not have to win their heat)
• Top 4 scores go to finals
• Final heat with 10 minutes -> winner
