BRISTOL CHARITY CHALLENGES: GET INVOLVED
Bristol will become a playground this summer as hundreds of people walk the high line and saddle up for two fundraising challenges.
More than just a sponsored walk, these fundraisers organized by the Above and Beyond charity are set to raise thousands of pounds for University Hospitals Bristol.
Bristol’s Cancer Hospital (BHOC) will become a giant urban high ropes course on 3 July for those brave enough to walk it.
A spokesman for the event said: “This is an amazing opportunity to take in stunning views of Bristol as you rope climb, abseil, and zip-wire your way around the hospital. Get a team together or go solo & raise money for the CaRE Appeal.”
Entry costs £10 for individuals or £50 for a team of six. Entrants must raise a minimum of £100 each or £500 for a team of six.
Perhaps you’re scared of heights but still want to get involved? Worry not, for the organisers have a much more down to earth but no less challenging task to get involved with.
The 3Moors Tour takes place on 24 – 26 September and involves cycling 250 miles from Bristol to Land’s End across three stunning moors (hence the name).
The challenge is expected to take three days and is limited to 70 cyclists.
Registration costs £100, with a minimum sponsorship of £500 required.
