SWANSEA BURLESQUE TROUPE HEAD TO NOZSTOCK
Wales’ most famous burlesque group, Bluestocking Lounge, are hosting a stage at Nozstock festival.
The red hot women, from Swansea, will take care of the cabaret stage at the Hereford festival on 10 July.
Programmed by the Bluestocking Events all-female team, the cabaret stage, which runs from midnight to the early hours, will play host to some of the UK’s biggest stars on the alternative cabaret and burlesque scene – and, not forgetting their Swansea hometown, Bluestocking have also added a handful of Welsh and Swansea-based acts too, providing a platform for up-coming Welsh talent.
Nozstock, now in its 10th year, has been highlighted in The Guardian’s list of top UK festivals and this year looks set to be the biggest yet, with comedian Phill Jupitus and the Blockheads headlining, and a very special secret comedian topping the comedy stage bill. Bluestocking is excited to be part of such a prestigious festival and have lined up a whole host of nocturnal delights for the late night audience on July 10.
Co-headlining the Bluestocking line-up will be international burlesque artiste and pin up Missy Malone and self-titled “neo-vaudevillian, real life Disney villain, gin-addled courtesan and anti-christ of cabaret” Mister Joe Black. Joining them on the bill is neo-burlesque artistes Peski Deville and Lexi Sexx, Welsh poet and comic Mab Jones, Madame Gaga and The Hussy Divas, Neath-based burlesquer Delilah Galore, cherry Stone, Swansea-based The Barrie Holes Hit List presents… Cherry Bakewell and The Tarts, Dance For Joy and Bluestocking Lounge’s resident troupe The Bay Belles. Hosting the nocturnal slot, cult West End icon and Café De Paris’ The Wam Bam Club regular Bunny Galore will be ensuring the evening is a memorable one!
Tickets for Nozstock, priced £75 for a weekend pass (concessions available).
