The Big Chill Bar in Bristol will unveil its lush new roof terrace this month with a guest appearance from Bez of Happy Mondays fame.
The plush bar, which opened last year, is a spin off from the London Big Chill bar and the awesome Big Chill Festival, which takes place just up the road in Herefordshire.
The new addition to the St Nicholas Market drag of pubs and bars is going from strength to strength and now they are upping the game with the roof terrace and study room.
A spokesman for the bar said: “On July 15th we are set to unveil the second phase of the bar which will see a brand new roof terrace and study room opening on the first floor – a new city centre outdoor oasis, plus an extra room with it’s own bar available for private hire.
“The roof terrace will be one of the only roof gardens in the city centre and the study room is part of an amazing historic Georgian building in the oldest part of the city. The room has been designed by Lucy Tauber who is well known for her exhibit in the V&A last year. She has based her design on classic Georgian styling but with her unique contemporary twist.”
As amazing as the roof terrace is, perhaps the best bit is that the Big Chill is offering free hire of the extra room and will also put on food for groups if needed.

The launch party will see the room and terrace opened in style with music provided by Club Dave with a very special guest, Bez, from the Happy Mondays, who comes fresh from rocking the Shangri La field at Glastonbury Festival where he had his very own on site club ‘Bez’s acid house’ which went down as one of the highlights of the festival this year.
Members of the Big Chill Bar Bristol mailing list should get invites sent out to them shortly but everyone is welcome.
