KOOLWATERS CELEBRATES 10 YEARS IN DANCE MUSIC

In the years that have passed since its creation, Koolwaters has grown to become one of the scenes hidden gems. What started out as a regional club night has since become an international mover and shaker, regularly leaping from continent to continent hosting and celebrating at some of dance music’s finest offerings.

Crowning some of these bills over the years has been everyone from festival lords The Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada to the legendary Sasha and hit maker Roger Sanchez, as well as globe trotters in Darren Emerson, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler and Radio 1’s essential selector Pete Tong. Alongside heavyweight players, Koolwaters has long maintained its focus to push new talent having given rise to a young James Zabiela, as well as Fergie, Kid Massive and Mark Knight during the past decade.

To celebrate the 10th birthday, Marc Vedo, Koolwaters founder, has decided to go back and retrace the steps of some of the night’s most significant and best loved cities and venues. Kicking off the birthday tour, Koolwaters will return to some of its earliest clubbing locations in Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Plymouth, Cardiff, Exeter, Hereford, Swansea, as well as its spiritual home of Taunton. From here celebrations will then roll out to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Newcastle and London, before ending the year with a a series of international events featuring a host of A-list roadblockers as the club touches down in Asia, Canada, Russia, Portugal, Switzerland, Czech Republic and South America taking in Brazil, Peru, Columbia etc

On speaking about the milestone achievement Marc said:
“The last 10 years have been an incredible journey! We’ve had amazing parties with some of the world’s best clubs, now we want to bring all that back with a return to some of our favourite places where it all started and with some of our favourite people”

To coincide with the 10th anniversary, Koolwaters will be also releasing a special 10th birthday compilation towards the end of the year; which will be mixed by club residents Boy George and Marc Vedo over two discs.

Koolwaters visits Suju in Swindon on Sat 25 September with Prok & Fitch as special guests, supported by Marc Vedo and James Hannan. Doors 11pm-6am and it’s only £6 before 1am.
