All Tomorrow’s Parties, which takes place at Butlins Minehead on May 13-15, will be curated by the awesome Animal Collective with tickets going on sale this week.
ATP organisers have revealed the first wave of acts to play at Animal Collective’s ATP next year and boy does it look good.
Animal Collective’s last album Merriweather Post Pavilion was hailed with universal acclaim and the group secured their place in the hearts of indie fans across the world with some kick ass performances at festivals last year – now they’re curating their own.
ATP promoter Barry Hogan said: “I always wondered what kind of mixtape Animal Collective would put together, so we are really stoked that they are climbing into the curating hot seat at Butlins next May where they will headline and curate the festival that includes the likes of Lee Scratch Perry and Gang Gang Dance from an already eclectic mix of 40+ acts.”
Confirmed acts include Gang Gang Dance, Lee Scratch Perry, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Boradcast, Black Dice, Meat Puppets, The Frogs, IUD, Omar-S, Prince Rama, Spectrum, Dent May, Group Doueh, The Brothers Unconnected, Deradoorian, Zomby and Vladislav Delay with plenty more to be announced over the coming months.
And if that isn’t enough to persuade you, how about the fact that instead of faffing about with tents and mud – you get to stay in twee little chalets with beds, fridges, TVs and cookers. What’s more, the party doesn’t end when the bands leave the stage with DJs spinning some top tunes in the plastic pubs and clubs of Butlins and no shortage of Chalet parties to entice you in.
ATP will also be offering a small amount of early bird tickets at a £20 per person discount (£145pp room only and £155pp self catering), available until Friday November 5 (unless they run out first).
They will again be running a deposit scheme for the festivals to make it easier for some people to pay – offering a limited number of 4 berth apartments, both room-only and self-catering to be paid for with a deposit upfront, and the remaining amount to be paid by the end of January 2011. Both come with a booking fee of £7.50 per person (£30 per apartment). These apartments will be sold at full price; £165 per person room only or £175 per person self catered.
Full price tickets for ATP Curated by Animal Collective are priced at £165pp for room only and £175pp for self catering.
All tickets go on sale this Friday October 29 at 9am from www.atpfestival.com
