Showcase Cinema de Lux Bristol is offering horror fans the ultimate night out this Halloween, with the opportunity to see four fantastic films in stunning 3D, back to back, for the bargain price of £12.
This all-night exclusive kicks off at 7.30pm with a screening of My Bloody Valentine 3D. The grisly and gruesome slasher film sees Tom return to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and what ensues will have cinemagoers on the edge of their seats.
At 10pm, it’s time for the eagerly awaited Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, which sees Milla Jovovich return as Alice, still out to destroy the evil Umbrella Corporation in this hugely popular series of films. This latest outing sees Alice join a group of survivors who want to relocate to the mysterious but supposedly unharmed safe haven known only as Arcadia.
As the witching hour approaches, it’s time to settle down for a Showcase Cinema de Lux exclusive: A midnight showing of the 3D re-working of George A. Romero’s classic 1968 film Night of the Living Dead (3D). Surely every horror fan has seen this legendary film about a group of survivors trapped in a farmhouse battling a siege of undead zombies. But they’ve never seen it like this before in glorious 3D! Prepare to be scared in a whole new dimension.
For those who’ve got the staying power, things are rounded off with a 2am screening of one of the year’s biggest films, Pirahna 3D. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents!
For the ultimate ‘fright night out’, the cinema’s Studio One restaurant and bar will be open to guests before the show as well as during intervals. Studio One caters to all tastes and has a wide range of food and drink, including speciality cocktails.
Tickets are available now from the cinema box office, online at www.cinemadelux.co.uk or via the 24 hour ticket hotline on 0871 220 1000. The ticket price is £12 for the entire event, regardless of whether guests watch all four movies or just one or two, with an additional charge of £1 for 3D glasses if required by the guest.
