WIN TICKETS TO MUSIC SOUTH WEST 2010 FRINGE EVENT
Music South West, the music convention for the South West of England, is back in Bristol and we’ve bagged two wristbands for the fringe event to giveaway.
Following on from the success of the sold-out event in 2009, Music South West returns for its second year. For two days this November, Bristol will once again be home to music industry talks and discussions by day, and by night the best new music from the South West, with national and international guests, will be showcased at venues across the city.
Hosted by Music Industry Education, MSW 2010 will kick off on Wednesday November 24 at 2pm with an introductory keynote, talks and networking at Hamilton House in Bristol. Industry talks, seminars, break out groups, and discussions will take place throughout Thursday November 25 at the Watershed.
The Music South West Live Fringe will take place each night and showcase the pick of acts from across the South West. Joined by national and international guests, the Fringe will be the essential live music showcase event for catching the best emerging artists from around the region.
Music Industry Education Director Leon Alexander said: “Following six months of developing courses and training programmes for the music business with leading partners from industry I am delighted that we will now be in Bristol for two days of focused and intensive talks on the key issues that effect everyone working in the music industry today”.
Bristol Music Foundation Chair Matt Booth said, “It was great to see last year’s event sold out and we have an even better programme this year. It’s been two years since we ran the Live Fringe in Bristol and we are very excited that it will be back to showcase the pick of acts from around the South West, plus we will welcome national and international guests to Bristol.”

The Music South West 2010 Live Fringe will take place in venues across Bristol on both nights of the event, 24 and 25 November from 7.30pm.
The Fringe aims to showcase the pick of artists from across the South West with national and international partners.
There will be one wristband for all shows on each night.
