WE THE PEOPLE 2011: A BRAND NEW FESTIVAL FOR BRISTOL
Bristol will this year welcome a brand new festival, We The People. Set over three arenas, 10,000 people expected per day, this idyllic festival setting is in the heart of Bristol’s Harbour in early June (4th and 5th) geared up to be the best way to kick off the festival season. Current drum‘n’bass and dubstep sensations Chase and Status are already confirmed to headline on the Saturday with sure performances from their hit releases, Pieces, End Credits, Heavy and Take Me Away. Headlining Sunday, and topping off the weekend, will be Mike Skinner’s farewell show as he has announced he is officially retiring from The Streets. With his raw, dare-to-be lyrics and geezer swagger, Mike Skinner threw The Streets into success in 2000 with is debut album, ‘Original Pirate Material’ and is now set to see ‘The Streets’ name out with a bang. With more acts to be announced imminently building an eclectic, soul-stirring beginning to the summer which will be hard to beat.
