A spin off of the bigger Bestival on the Isle of Wight, Camp Bestival has a definite appeal for families with more than 100 free things for kids to do. But that doesn’t mean young folk should be put off cos organiser Rob da Bank continues to secure some of the most exciting acts. This year they’ve got Primal Scream performing Screamadelica, 80s legends Blondie and the smooth Mark Ronson and the Business International as well as Laura Marling, DJ Yoda, Newton Faulkner, Frankie and the Heartstrings, The Cuban Brothers and more. razy club vibes will come courtesy of the man like Rob da Bank with his famed beyond eclectic fare, plus the mighty Groove Armada will present Redlight, Norman Jay will to deliver the good times, arch scratch-master DJ Yoda is sure to get the show jumping and the venerable David Rodigan will demonstrate just why he’s one of the most respected selectors on the planet. And there’ll be more booty shaking, speaker shredding action from the likes of London Elektricity, The Nextmen, Dub Pistols Soundsystem, Channel One Soundsystem, Krafty Kuts, A.Skillz, DJ Derek and Reggae Roast. It’s all set in a castle on the Jurassic Coast and comes complete with Medieval jousting displays (the fancy dress theme is Medieval too) as well as local cooking legend Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall’s River Cottage Cafe. The festival takes place from July 29-31 at Lulworth Castle in Dorset. Tickets cost £170 and are available from www.campbestival.net
