Not the easiest festival name to announce after you’ve had a cider or two but one you’ll want to be shouting about for months afterwards. As the name suggests, Endorse it in Dorset festival, which takes place on a farm in Sixpenny Handley, nr Shaftesbury, from August 12-14, has a very obvious Dorset flavour to it. Organised by local cowpunk pioneers Pronghorn (who always play there too) the small but oh so friendly festival features the much loves Scrumpy Sunday and ladies day when bearded geezers don their finest frocks – what a sight! New Found Model Army are this year’s headliners and they are accompanied by The Wurzels, Subgiant, The Dub Pistols, The Cropdusters and more. And they’re all playing on the hilariously titled array of stages including the The Desmond Dekker Stage, The Wildcat Stage, The Wig-on Casino, Rock The Bus-Bar Area, The Purple Purge Stage, Gail’s Something Else Tea Tent.
