FROOTFUL COLOURS IN CORNWALL

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

Frootful, AKA musician and illustrator Nick Radford, will be bringing his unique brand of 60s inspired souljazz to Miss Peapod’s Penryn on Sunday 17th April. With his debut album Colours (released on 21/03/11 by Freestyle Records and produced by Lack of Afro) creating a nationwide buzz, Frootful is hitting the road (with a few friends in tow) to celebrate the new album and give his home crowd a taste of the good stuff. The live band goes by the name The Frootful Art Ensemble and includes Nick Radford on guitar; producer Adam Gibbons (Lack of Afro) on alto sax and percussion; Angeline Morrison (The Ambassadors of Sorrow) on vocals; plus double bass, drums and tenor sax. Expect sharp suits, a knockout vocalist, and a swinging souljazz / soul / R&B / latin / ska set aimed squarely at the dance floor. The gig will be the first opportunity to see Frootful live in Cornwall and the band will be heading to the county straight after the London album launch (on Friday 15th April) at the Alleycat Club. Doors will open at 8pm. Tickets cost £5 (£4 concession) and will be available on the door. Colours will be available to purchase on the night, plus limited edition prints by Frootful and other selected artists. For more information on Frootful check out Freestyle Records and for details on the gig at Miss Peapod’s in Penryn visit www.misspeapod.co.uk
