Primal Scream were on of the first bands to trial the ‘playing an album in its entirety’ and they are flying with it – with a spate of Screamadelica festival dates this summer. But first they play a special warm up gig at Cardiff University. The gig, on Monday June 20, will precede slots at the Eden Project in Cornwall on June 23, Glastonbury Festival on June 24 and Camp Bestival in Dorset on July 31. They also play Guernsey Arts Festival, T in The Park in Scotland and V Festivals. Support comes from Little Barrie. That well-travelled background fits perfectly in a band who’ve spent the time since early 2007’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ album playing live with an amazing succession of A-list musicians. Cadogan continues to be the lead guitarist in Primal Scream’s live band, also working on Weller’s ‘22 Dreams’ & ‘Wake Up the Nation’ albums, Edwyn’s recent ‘Losing Sleep’, Spiritualized and Chemical Brothers albums and with French Polynesian actress-singer Mareva Galanter. He was recently called by Ronson to play on the soundtrack of the upcoming remake of ‘Arthur’ starring Russell Brand. The 20th anniversary edition of the highly acclaimed album Screamadelica is out now.

Tickets for the Cardiff gig cost £25 from www.gigsandtours.com Tel: 0844 811 0051 More info on the Scream at www.screamadelica20.com
