Watchet Live Festival 2011, which takes place on August Bank Holiday weekend, has just secured X-Factor winner Leon Jackson as its headliner and we’ve teamed up with them to give away a family ticket.

Leon, who won the 2007 show, has since been dividing his time between, Glasgow, London and LA writing and developing a new acoustic driven sound. Working with producers and song-writers on the LA music scene whilst incorporating a Scottish folk twist, a nod to his roots, has really opened Leon’s eyes to the potential sound he can now craft.

Leon says “I’ve needed time to consolidate and make sense of everything I’ve experienced. I needed to fall in love with music again, this process has been slow and wrenching at times but I’m now feeling liberated and fulfilled for the first time with my work. Music is a conversation between the singer and the listener, and to that end the fans are the foundation of everything I do.”

Watchet Live 2011 features its biggest-ever line up, largest ever site and a host of new activities and events. 3 internationally renowned acts have been announced as headliners; legendary festival veterans Dreadzone; Britpop heroes Dodgy, and infamous Somerset cider drinkers The Wurzels (who make a triumphant return to Watchet after their rip-roaring performance in 2009.)
