Swindon Invincible is on the move! Following three years of selling out its original home at the Old Town Bowl, 2011 will see Wiltshire’s premier one-dayer moving to the historic Lydiard Park for Swindon’s ultimate dance music festival on Saturday 20th August 2011.

And, in keeping with moving on to bigger things, this year’s line-up takes it to the next level with some true heavyweights coming on-board. Having captured the heart of people from across the country, Invincible is consistently raved about by the acts that come to play there and its fourth year Invincible will be building on what they have created, upping the ante with three stages, more entertainment, visual shows, and top artists performing to an up for it crowd of 5000 party people.

Leftfield, one of the biggest bands to emerge from the nascent rave scene, continue a very welcome comeback with a headline set at Invincible. From the era-defining debut album ‘Leftism’ that regular tops ‘Best Dance Album’ polls and its lauded follow up ‘Rhythm and Stealth’, Leftfield’s sub-bass propelled floor-fillers laid the blueprint for what dance music could be, influencing countless acts over the years. With a band featuring the majority of the original touring line-up, Leftfield’s live set is pure hands in the air heaven and not to be missed.

Also joining the line-up for Invincible’s inaugural Lydiard Park outing is James Zabiela. Renowned for his super-dexterous turntable skills, James is one of the most technically gifted DJs around with sets that span the techier end of House adding in a generous helping of Techno and Breaks to keep the crowd rocking. Featuring The Scratch Perverts’ Plus One and Mixologists’ Beni G, Jack Beats will be turning up the rave heat with wobbling basslines, crowd destroying breakdowns and speaker smashing cut and paste action to keep your feet moving. Krafty Kuts will be on hand with his jaw-dropping crabbing and flaring firing up his hip-hop fuelled mix of Breaks and Electro. A perennial winner of Best DJ at Breakspoll, Krafty is a master at the art of partying. Acid Jazz legends Brand New Heavies are set to take Invincible by storm. Fronted once again by N’Dea Davenport, backed by the band’s musical powerhouse of Jan Kincaid, Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Leavy, Brand New Heavies’ soul-powered Funk is as infectious as it is energetic and their full-throttle delivery is sure to get the crowd jumping.

As well as expanding into a new home, Invincible will also have a brand new arena, hosted by The Valve Sound System. Valve has cemented itself as true pioneers of their field. Veterans of the Drum&Bass scene have all identified the mighty Valve Sound System in all it is glory as the best sound system to play on bar none. As Ed Rush put it – “no one else does bass better”, so Invincible are thrilled to have teamed up with Valve to bring you the brand new Valve Sound System Arena…watch this space for full line up and news of the Band Stand Stage!
