There’s nothing better than chilling out with mates after work/college with a few drinks. As the summer days get longer and warmer, there are few things nicer than having an alcoholic beverage with the sun shining down on us.

The summer months bring us lots of opportunities to have a drink or three! Barbecues, parties, birthday’s, festivals and days spent lounging around. If you are looking for the perfect drink, it is well worth visiting your nearest big store for deals and ideas, perhaps www.marksandspencer.com to see what they have. Most stores and supermarkets have special summer deals and interesting drinks ideas. To get the ball rolling, we have come up with a few of our ideas for your summer boozing:

Pia Colada
Just one sip of a Pia Colada will take you straight to a tropical beach. They are easy to make, you just need some ice cubes, half a cup of rum, half a cup of coconut cream, quarter a cup of coconut milk, quarter a cup of pineapple chunks (and you could save some chunks for a garnish). Mix it all together in a blender and there you have it. A rich drink, but with beach vibes.

Cider
We think that cider is a perfect drink for summer, and luckily you can find some delicious ones in most supermarkets and pubs. Some favourites include Bulmers, which has a pear version and a crisp blend, Kopperberg from Sweden, and the ever popular Strongbow.

Bellini
If you are having a drinks party then there is nothing nicer than a peach or strawberry Bellini. It will also add a refreshing touch of class to the proceedings. Simply add peach or strawberry juice to a glass of Prosecco or some other Italian sparkling wine (known as Spumanti).

Pimms
This is perhaps the most quintessentially British drink, but it is also delicious and a terrific way to cool down in the summer. People like it as it is very refreshing, but can also be made nice and strong. To make a jug, you need a bottle of Pimms, lemonade, fruits such as cucumber, lemon, strawberries, apples and oranges cut up and several sprigs of mint. It is usual to use one part Pimms and three part lemonade, but it is up to you and depends on how strong you want your drink.
