CHARLIE SIMPSON TO DO LIVE INSTORE GIG AND SIGNING AT RISE, CHELTENHAM
Singer songwriter Charlie Simpson, of chart topping bands Busted and Fightstar, will be appearing at Rise, the independent music retailer in the Beechwood Arcade, Cheltenham, on 17 August 2011 at 5pm to perform songs and sign copies of his new album ‘Young Pilgrim’. Charlie will be showcasing his new songs including singles ‘Down, Down, Down’ and ‘Parachutes’ before what is expected to be a large crowd at Rise.
For his first solo project Charlie’s has found a more classic singer song writer sound and has drawn comparisons with acts such as Mumford & Sons and Frank Turner. Rise store manager Ben Hughes said he is delighted to have Charlie play instore “It’s always really great when an artist comes to play live in the shop and I’m sure many people will be keen to hear Charlie’s new sound”.
