FANS QUEUE OUTSIDE PLYMOUTH PAVILION FOR ONE DIRECTION TICKETS – 24 HOURS BEFORE THEY GO ON SALE
Dedicated teenagers this morning set up camp outside Plymouth Pavilions, in order to secure tickets for X Factor group One Direction – which go on sale tomorrow! Staff at Plymouth Pavilions were shocked to see the first few stragglers rock up with sleeping bags, snacks and toilet roll for a 24 hour camp outside the venue, which will tomorrow be selling tickets for One Direction’s Plymouth show on January 5, 2012. Among those hardcore fans was Bernard Brotherton, from Keyham, who is queuing to secure tickets for his 13 year old daughter Sian and a trio of 17-year-olds from Plymstock – Paige Herd, Tia Ebsworth and Charlie Minns.
The 1D Mania tour is the band’s first headline UK tour and One Direction mania is well underway. The boys are no strangers to performing to huge crowds after wowing fans on The X Factor Live Tour earlier this year. Their first headline tour will see the band performing songs from their debut album, released this November, alongside some of their favorite covers and a few surprises. Their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ shot to No.1 on iTunes within 15 minutes of being released and achieved the biggest Week 1 sales of 2011, selling 153,965 copies. Their second book, ‘Dare to Dream’, released this week, also instantly rocketed to No.1. The 21 date tour will see One Direction making stops at various key venues around the country, including Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena (January 21, 2012) and Plymouth Pavilions (January 5, 2012).
Tickets (which start from £19.50) for the Cardiff gig available from the Motorpoint arena box office on 029 20 22 44 88 and Plymouth Pavilions on 0845 146 1460 or in person! Tickets also available online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk
