A fundraising concert For Children’s Hospice South West takes place at The Flavel Arts Centre, Flavel Place in Dartmouth on Thursday 24th November at 8pm.

Growing up in a house filled with music, from the folk, calypso and opera enjoyed by her Jamaican-born mother to the trad, swing and be-bop from her jazz-obsessed father, vocalist Louise Parker was born to create the sort of soulful sound that has earned her a great reputation in the jazz world. A big hit on the festival circuit and a regular on Radio 2’s Best of Jazz, Louise Parker is a powerful performer and a skilful interpreter of swing, blues and gospel classics.

Children’s Hospice South West provides hospice care to life-limited children and their families across the South West, Little Bridge House in Barnstaple and Charlton Farm in Bristol. It is the only organisation in this area to provide such care. Families go for planned short breaks, emergency care or end of life. CHSW are due to open a third Hospice later this year, Little Harbour in St Austell. Tickets £15.
