Graham Coxon, in sticking with his DIY ethos, is offering local musicians the chance to win a support slot on his forthcoming UK tour. He is also looking for fans to star in his latest music video.

The former Blur guitarist hits the road in April to promote his new solo album A+E, released on Parlophone on April 2. He stops off at Gloucester Guildhall on April 27, Bristol Trinity on the 28th, Exeter Phoenix on the 29 before ending at Falmouth Princess Pavilions on April 30.

He is currently looking for support acts for each of those dates and is inviting local bands to submit their music videos on his website, get people to vote for them and ultimately, be in with a chance of winning the much-coveted support slot with him. Local bands already entered into the competition include Oxygen Thief, Goan Dogs, Jackhatch, Towns, Hybrid Six, Auction for the Promise Club and more.

Coxon also has big plans for his next music video, for the single ‘What’ll It Take’. He is asking fans to film a series of scripted dance moves, which can be seen demonstrated in the video below – the winning entries will be pulled together into his next music video. He will pick an overall winner to get two tickets to one of his shows and a further 10 top entries, each of whom will receive a signed copy of the new album.
