With three BRIT Awards an excess of six million album sales and their newest album, The Future Is Medieval perhaps being their best yet, as well as becoming the band’s fourth Top Ten album in six years, it’s no wonder The Kaiser Chiefs gig at Plymouth Pavilions was sold out.

The Kaisers couldn’t really have put more energy into their set – the crowd were in an absolute frenzy from when they kicked off with ‘Everyday I Love you Less’ until they finished on an absolute high with the slightly predictable but never-the-less brilliant ‘Oh My God’.

Front man, Ricky Wilson, was on fire working the crowd who were only to happy to bellow he lyrics back at him and clamp hands with him as he dashed around the Pavilion – singing one song from the balcony, which must have been pretty cool for seated fans.

While the bands anthems, ‘I Predict a Riot’, ‘Modern Way’ and of course ‘Ruby’ received the most uproar, the new tracks they played, which will no doubt feature on their next album, were also very welcome.

Plymouth Pavilions occasionally gets some stick out the sound quality of their gigs, but it was awesome for the Kaisers, much like the band themselves.
