The Nibley Music Festival is back for its sixth year in 2012 with a top-line up, the same stunning views, and a new tag line – ‘the friendliest music festival’.

The festival will be held in the same beautiful location overlooking the rolling hills of the Cotswolds at North Nibley Cricket Ground on Saturday 7th July 2012 – just 20 miles north of Bristol.

This year the festival is proud to stake itself out as the ‘friendliest music festival’ on the scene, and if you don’t believe this why not come along and see for yourself? This not-for-profit festival is run by an army of volunteers from the village of North Nibley in Gloucestershire and they place just as much emphasis on the friendly nature of the festival as they do on booking great bands.

Already confirmed for the 2012 line-up are soul-band The Christians, who had a string of chart hits in the late 1980s and 90s British pop-rock trio Dodgy, most famous for their hits Good Enough and Staying Out for the Summer, but now returning with a new album that has a different feel. Joining them will be up-and-coming ska-punk band Imperial Leisure and The Roving Crows, shortlisted in the Irish Music Awards. More bands will be added to the programme over the next few months.

The event is small, but perfectly formed, with no more than 4,000 tickets available each year. It is also one of the most affordable one-day festivals at £20 for an adult ticket and some discounted early-bird tickets available. The organisers, who don’t get a penny of the profits, work on the festival all year round and surplus money is given to local charities and good causes.

Tickets, priced £20, go on sale this week from www.nibleyfestival.co.uk
