After being a big success last year, Torquay Festival will return this year to help put Torquay on the map as a must-go-to destination. On 10 June we will be adding the Buskers and Street Entertainers Competition to the show with the winner(s) performing at next year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Rules: Candidates pay £5 each to enter, have just ten minutes on stage and after the judges deliberations, the winners will get a guaranteed career opportunity at Glastonbury Festival 2013 in the Theatre, Circus and Cabaret area. All entrants must be 17 or over, be amateur or semi-professional and not have appeared yet at Glastonbury Festival. All the proceeds will go to the Children’s World Charity which does great work to bring benefit to children with special needs both here and abroad.

The Festival will be host to international and national artists on four stages throughout The Town Centre, the Harbour area and Living Coasts to present Dance, Music, Clowning and the best of Covent Garden acts.
The wonderful Rogue Theatre will return to run the interactive Children’s Area at Union Square.
If you would like to enter The Buskers and Street Entertainers Competition you can download the application form with the guidance notes at: www.torquayfestival.co.uk and www.bornhecticevents.co.uk
