The team at Sunrise festival, 21 – 24 June, has been working hard to keep up with the requests for their extra Solstice night tickets and with the 1000 tickets on offer selling out in record time, and demand being so high they have decided to release an extra 200 from tomorrow (April 18) for 48 hours only.

To be in with a chance of being one of these lucky 200, ticket holders should go to the Sunrise website to find out how apply. For anyone who hasn’t bought a ticket yet and would like to be a part of this very special occasion there’s still time to get a Sunrise ticket and apply. With the extra cost of the solstice night being a £5 donation to the Natural Communities Foundation, the charity that Sunrise is run in aid of, this is great value for money.

The festival, which is usually a four-day event, decided to celebrate their change to the solstice dates, for 2012 only, by opening their gates one day early for an intimate gathering for 1000 Sunrisers of acoustic jamming and ceremony to welcome in the solstice dawn.

Sunrise, traditionally held at the beginning of June has changed its dates to mark their 7th birthday. The festival began on these dates seven years ago when Glastonbury festival last had a break and has since become not only “the UK’s most sustainable festival”, and winner of numerous awards, but also one of it’s most charming and well loved due to it’s intimate friendly atmosphere and heart felt vibe. With families and party goers alike praising the event for it’s great music, informative talks and workshops from the UK’s leading experts on sustainable issues, and its pioneering organic food and drinks policy, plus the whole festival is powered on 100% sustainable energy.

With a great music and talks line up and rich content from new areas, including the exciting Tibetan Village area and the expanded kids area with fairground and Helter Skelter to the old familiars like Chai Wallahs and the Village Green, all held within 6 arenas and 35 venues Sunrise have out done themselves this year in creating a birthday party filled with wonders and wows and is one festival this summer that is not to be missed!
