Internationally renowned production company, In Between Time, presents ‘Up To Nature’ – a pan-European festival of art, performance and music located in forests outside Bristol, Vienna, Oslo and Kuopio.

Watch LED fireflies gather around a glade, a man transform into a deer, take a night walk deep into the trees accompanied by a hidden choir, and sit with a man piecing back together a tree. ‘Up To Nature’ Europe invites you to leave the city and enter Woodchester forest, nr Bristol, from June 29-July 1, 2012.

Up To Nature Bristol is a three day weekend of performance, talks, walks, bands, bonfires, banquets and ball games. Festival goers will see thrilling UK premieres and new commissions by international artists, UK artists and artists especially commissioned by In Between Time to create a site specific piece. Artists include Fiksdal/Langgard/Becker (Oslo, Norway). Johanna Kirsch(Vienna Austria). Antti Laitenen (Somero, Finland), Martin Nachbor (Berlin, Germany). French/Mottershead (London), Nic Green with Beth Harmer(Glasgow) and commissioned by In Between Time; Action Hero and Sten House, Alex Bradley, Tom Marshman, Dee Hedden and Emma Bennett.

The Festival’s guiding principle is that unique, evocative and challenging theatre can happen anywhere. And the challenges are not restricted to the audience. The artists and performers must rise to the challenge of creating art and performance which has minimal technical requirements, is unamplified and unplugged.

The UK leg of ‘Up To Nature’ is set in the stunning Woodchester Park near Stroud, Gloucestershire. Weekend camping is at the award winning Thistledown Campsite, the Guardian’s number one scenic campsite 2011. Weekend tickets including camping are available for £34 and there are limited Saturday only tickets.
