Following the success of their sold-out ‘greenhouse’ showcase at Staverton Bridge Nursery, Totnes band Matthew and Me have announced that their next bespoke musical event will be held on Saturday 16 June – at the beautiful Sharpham Vineyard outside Totnes.

Consisting of five Dartington College of Arts graduates, Matthew and Me, are developing a strong and devoted fanbase in the South West and are also building a strong reputation for using unexpected venues and creating stunning showcases; A medieval chapel, an enchanting Elizabethan glasshouse and now the grounds of Sharpham’s own stunning vineyard with the River Dart and pristine Devon landscape as a backdrop.

Described as “an original blend of acoustic indie pop with liquid vocal harmonies” with “unabashed choruses”, Matthew and Me select these unusual places carefully to give their audience a distinct and memorable experience. Once immersed in these magical settings, they hope to leave a lasting impression and so far that’s exactly what they’ve achieved.

On the night of the gig Sharpham Vineyard will be serving a specially selected list of its award-winning wines as well as local ale and cider and freshly made paella. There will also be a shuttle service leaving from Totnes train station at 6.30pm for those of us who plan to make use of the venue’s amply stocked bar.

Tickets are on sale now at Rumour Wine Bar, 30 High Street, Totnes, The Drift Record Shop, 103 High Street, Totnes, at Sharpham Vineyard and online at www.matthewandmetreats.bigcartel.com Doors 7pm.
